Blind as a Turtle...

Well I didn't knit a bat, so I couldn't very well say it, could I?

Cute little turtle butt. So my Sheldon is finished, and as I shamelessly copy off of Heddy here with my Sheldon pictures, it must be noted that Sheldon as of yet does not have any eyes. Here he is aimlessly wandering around the yard.

Off he goes while I take his picture and my neighbours say to each other, 'Uh, there's that crazy knitter woman outside taking pictures of her inanimate knitted objects. Well, at least she's not yelling at her dog.'

Here's where I stepped in before he got himself into real trouble.
His shell is a little too overstuffed, but other than that, a smooth knit.

Gotta jet...eating a quick supper then off to the theatuuuhhhh.
Until later...

Sheldon is a sweetie - you can just tell!

If I ever make a Sheldon (she says half wistfully and half sardonically) I'm going to fill mine with beans and call him 'Sheldon Full of Beans'

Yep.

That's it, I hafta find some yarn to knit mine. Then they can be The Three Turtleers (or something like that). I need to see your Sheldon and Heddy's in person. Hope yours gets the gift of sight soon!

he is cute ... but may need the assistance of your pooch, Hank, as a seeing eye dog to help keep him from harm's way. Your pics of him wandsering the garden are cute!

He does look really cute even without eyes. He must have a different outlook on things I am sure!
See you tomorrow nite!

he's adorable and huggy and made me think of this:

The Turtle
Jack Prelutsky

The turtle's always been inclined
to live within his shell.
But why he cares to be confined,
the turtle does not tell.

The turtle's always satisfied
to slowly creep and crawl,
and never wanders far outside
his living room or hall.

So if you wish to visit him
in his domestic dome,
just knock politely on his shell,
you'll find the turtle home.
