Edited Mar. 1/09 to add my latest belly photo. Feel free to amend your guess if you've already made one.
Leave a comment at the end of this post with your projected due date (the one I was given is March 11/09 with March 25/09 being 42 wks, the latest I'm assuming I could go) and what you think the baby might weigh. Whomever gets closest might win something...no hard and fast promises on this one as we won't know the results until after the baby is born and well, as people are wont to keep reminding me, there will be no time for normal life as I've known it. But should I have a nano-second to form a thought, I will come up with a nice little sumthin-sumthin. For a knitter, likely some yarn from my stash (at present, I'm thinking of the sock variety as I have lots and have become somewhat disenchanted with some of it). If ye be a non-knitter, I'll send you yarn anyway in an attempt to get you hooked. Of course I kid. Maybe chocolate. Who doesn't like chocolate?
Anyhow, that's all I've got for today. The van is in the shop being tuned up and detailed and then likely installed with a car seat later, depending on when it comes home I guess. I should really take a second look at that thing, see if I can figure out how it works. In any case, I have nowhere to be and no way to get there anyway.
Miss Pinta's room is pretty much all set to go now too. Only took me, uh, a week and a half to get all the shower gifts put away? :) We also received a HUGE box of hand-me-downs from Pinta's cousin K. and that has taken me a long while to go through and organize. You should see this childs closet and dresser now. It's insane. She'll be outfitted for the next year with everything combined.
Here's a photo of Pinta's flock. I tried not to go all themey with the room, but as you can clearly see...
...one sorta snuck in anyway. But really...sheep. It was inevitable.
Until later...

Lub the sheep. With Easter on the horizon they are cropping up everywhere and I've had to exercise much restraint.
OK, let me pull up my calendar and perform some wizardry here ... moon phase ... twirl ... snap crackle pop ... I'm going with March 8th and I refuse to enter a weight on the grounds that i value our friendship more than yarn.
March 1st, surprise, surprise! Get M to take you for a drive on Saturday on some of the more rough, back country roads.
I say the little bundle is going to be 8lbs 8oz cuz I like the number 8.
okay ... I am usually good at this (but now that I have said it - I will be wrong!) ... and you have put the promise of sock yarn out there, so you know I have to chime in! LOL!
I will say March 17 (sorry, I know it is late, but I really see this being a holiday baby!), and I think your little sweetie will weight 7 lbs, 9 oz.
And she will have a head full of dark hair (maybe curly) (I shoudl get a prize for most detailed answer, eh?)
I guesssed the sex of my secretary's nbaby today -- we'll see in August if she has a girl.
I'm going with March 12, which is my oldest grandson's birthday and hence a good day to be born on.
As for the weight, I will suggest 7 lbs. 7 oz. I think that is a good size for a newborn and you won't be too far overdue with March 12. I was really good at guessing the weight when I worked on OB, but that was after the babe was born and I was holding it myself.
Don't forget to have someone email or blog about the big event so I can hear about whilst we are away!!!
whooo hoo ... only 2 weeks left! 14 days until your due date ... I am so excited!
Hey I already guessed 8lbs 2oz. but if this is official, March 10 (full moon) maybe 11 though...no I am sticking with 10th. And I'll bet she is 21 inches long! No hair. M had curly hair but I can't remember when it grew. p.s if I win I love your whale hat (fat head size of course)LOL best of luck to ya
Ooooh - my guess:
March 13
7lbs 5oz
Love the sheep. You may have to name her "Mary"... 'cause she has so many little lambs.
Mary at work says March 9, 8lbs 4 oz. She even added 10pm!
Well okay, I'll guess too. I do know how much your hubby weighed so I'll say 9lbs. 2oz. Yep, that's how much he weighed but I have to say it was an easy birth. At that weight he did all the work. I'll say Mar. 10th. Hope it's earlier for your sake.
Your MIL
Cute room!
I'll guess March 14th and 8 lbs 1 oz.
I'm not good with this sort of guessing but. . . you still look to be carrying kind of high for anything to happen too soon. . . I'll say two more weeks March 16. I'll say 9 pounds even. (I hope I'm very wrong and you go this week with a smaller babe).
March 18th. I bet she's really comfortable in there, so she'll be a week late. The weight: 8lbs 10oz.
