Murder Tonight in the Trailer Park...

Dateline: Liverpool

What at first blush appeared to be a tragic case of toy puppicide, ended as merely an annoying case of mischief. Local RCMP were called into investigate the complaint at a residence early this morning.

The homeownwer, a youngish, crafty woman who did not wish to be identified, was horrorstruck as she happened upon the scene.

"I thought Roscoe was disemboweled! He was just lying there, with his insides apparently spilled out all over the place."

The suspect, known only as 'Hank'...

...seen here atop a large snowball, was taken in for questioning by the RCMP. After a thorough interrogation and the repeated denial of treats, the police have concluded that in fact it was not Roscoe that bore the brunt of Hank's frustrations, but his blanket.

The suspect has been charged with mischeif and will be required to be a good boy for the rest of the day.

Too funny! Jewel did that the other night to one of the kids junk stuffies they got in one of those crane games at a truck stop last summer. She has also taken to hauling her blankie out of the kennel and chewing it. She actually has a chunk out of one of the sides. I also had a stuffed sheep that was sent to me in Secret Pal 4, and I had to move it cuz she insisted that it was hers. She's been at a couple of other things, too...

LOL! I was afraid for Roscoe for a few minutes, and also worried about the safety of the other stuffies in the house. You know your baby is all grown up when the murderous rampages on the Stuffies start ... first a nibbled ear, then a missing eye ... then total dismemberment and occasional disembowelment -- ain't pretty but a sure sign of pochie maturity!

A few weeks ago, Duffy was on our bed munching on a favorite nyla bone ... int he morning she had chewed several holes through the sheets that covers the quilt on our bed, trying to get to the bone that had worked its way under the top sheet ... coulda easily been my queen size quilt!

Hank is a cutie -- and almost as tall as his flesh father (lol!)

Been there, done that. The best is yet to come. Other stuffed animals will come to an untimely disembowelment!

Heh heh... poor Roscoe, it must have been so traumatic for him to witness the blanket attack.

One of my Newfoundlands continues to steal anything that's not nailed down and within her reach when I go into town to get the mail. I have to make a sweep of the kitchen and close the door to my "sewing" and craft room. She doesn't truly destroy stuff (unless it's edible)..she takes it back to our bedroom and leaves it there. The last thing she absconded with is a small beaded lamp shade. Yes, you read that correctly..a lamp shade.
Sweet Hank!
